WHAT IS THE SPORTS MEDIA CAMP?
The Sports Media Camp brings together high school students from all over the Milwaukee Metropolitan area for a 4 week, intense program that teaches students the foundation of the sports media world. They will have the opportunity to learn the process of writing magazine quality stories, filming tv quality video, the ability to conduct interviews and social media marketing.

All applications are due by May 31st, 2019
The Sports Media Institute summer program is available to all teens age 13-19.
Participants are selected on a competitive basis, as we are limited to 15 students.
College students may apply for this position for internship credit.

YOU: Gifted with an active, creative, working mind interested in sports and digital media. The idea of interviewing athletes and creating digital content interests you, and you want to learn how its done and experience it hands-on.
You will experience the responsibilities of: reporters, writers, photographers, videographers, designers, social media techs, and event planners.

WHERE IS CAMP LOCATED?
The SPORTS MEDIA CAMP is held at Marquette University's School of Communications (Johnston Hall)
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The price of camp is $300. This price includes: daily breakfast & lunch, the SMI camp uniform, camp activities and program materials.
WHAT'S A TYPICAL DAY?
A healthy breakfast, engaging icebreakers to prepare for intense classroom sessions, a fuel filled lunch and encouragement from the sports media team.
WHO TEACHES THE CLASSES?
Classroom sessions will be taught by Marquette University professors and professionals from each sports media camp category.
